CVS Commit 0.97.17

Hi all,

I dusted off my CVS configuration and finally fixed the distortion  
bug. It was in the code that deals with bypass latency correction, and  
was a trivial thinko, but it took me ages to spot :-/

To get CVS access back I got an anonymous checkout from sf.net, then  
my old SSH keys worked for a commit.
