Jamin crashes while changing scenes rapidly over OSC

Working with Jamin lately I've been using the Jamin plugin within Ardour to
change scenes. I've noticed recently that when I automate the scene changes
(using automation within ardour to change scenes at the end of a song for
example), Jamin seems to crash after a couple rapid scene changes. I ran
Jamin -T to get a trace output from jamin and got the following after a
crash.

The program 'jamin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length
erro'.
  (Details: serial 5234459 error_code 16 request_code 3 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)


Not sure what this means, but it sure is anoying to have to wait a bit for
jamin to change scenes before moving to another one.

I then tried dropping the crosfade time from 1 to 0, jamin still crashed
after several quick changes and threw this error:

connection)'.

   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
