Re: moving away from CVS

For what it's worth, over at SuperCollider we've recently migrated
from svn to git, and I also use mercurial at work. In my opinion you
should definitely use either git or mercurial - the benefits of a
decentralisable vcs are great. It will take a little bit of getting
used to, but it's really worth it - branching and merging become much
more productive, among other things.

Git and hg are very similar - I think git is slightly better in its
approach, and may be on its way to being the standard tool, but
mercurial has a bit of an edge in usability (and git's windows support
is not yet perfect).
