Yeah, I have a 6-core, 3.0ghz chip in my computer, and I run SMP-aware 
versions of JACK, so at the risk of sounding like I don't care about 
legacy users, I don't think it's a problem. It should be possible to 
turn bands off to save CPU power if you need it, but providing the 
option is the whole point, IMO.

And while we're at it, can I request a couple other features? Specifically:
1. I'd like to take the output of each band from JACK separately, to use 
JAMin as a crossover for my speaker system
2. Can the FFT display update speed please become configurable? 10hz 
seemed incredible when I had a 1ghz single-core processor, but today it 
really feels sluggish to me.
