Jamin supports both FIR or iIR.

According to this page FIR filters can be run at a minimum time of 1.25ms
in 3 way mode with a total delay of 3 -5 ms for latency compensation.

We do have 1024 EQ bands for the hdeq, but that number could be adjustable
too. IIRC, the only reason 1024 bands is hardcoded is that no one saw a
need for any other number in the hdeq at the time.  Not because it is the
only way to do things. If there is a need for smaller EQ band sets we can
add that functionality.

FYI, we had a very small pool of mastering engineers providing feedback at
the time of the first phase of development.
