Initial Comment:
The upper limit of 128KB for images added using the --ti option of lame (v3.98.4) is fairly small. In my opinion it should be at least 256KB (if there is even a maximum at all).

I'm sorry if there is a technical limitation which keeps this from working. I did not see why there should be.
