Lame for a G3 MacOS X (10.4) iBook

I need to convert my Apple lossless iTunes library to mp3 for use on my Android phone. I can't find a Lame binary that works on my ancient G3 powered iBook. (I only use the iBook for playing iTunes through my HiFi...) Does anyone know where I can find a G3 compatible binary or alternatively, instructions for building from source on MacOS? Do I need to use XCode for example? Or can I just run a make?
