Ping! No comment? My time window for doing a release is closing … I'd
hate to publish mpg123 1.26.0 with numerous fixes and the new API for
lame, only to shortly after mess again with the API becaue the Lame
integration does not work out after all.

The recent question about libmp3lame in Android is also not wholly
unrelated. If you use external libmpg123, that part becomes a bit more
labourous, but: You _can_ build libmpg123 on Android, with NEON
optimizations and all. When it's getting together with Lame, perhaps we
could get an official build guide for both going. People seem to
manage eventually, mucking around with their Android.mk files … but
newcomers always struggle.
