Hey Team,

I am interested in using the LAME library but have concerns about the LAME 3.100 version including mpglib library which is GPL licensed.

We saw your recent commits on sourceforge.net (https://sourceforge.net/p/lame/svn/commit_browser) where mpglib has already been removed in recent commits and is motivating us to use beta1/beta2 version. However, they both do not seem to be packaged in the same way as the latest official release. I was only able to download snapshots from each commit. I am also unsure about using beta1, beta2, or just the snapshot from the latest commit, that is why I wanted to know if you have any recommendations for the same. Are they stable enough to use; does it include any experimental/untested features or any other potential risk? Also, we would prefer to use the official release, we are hoping that 3.101 will be out soon. If there is any timeline for the same, we would really appreciate it if we can
  get some idea about it.

Best,

Rajat
