Cool! And as such most probably also on the *BSDs.

If you have the means and interest to handle the Windows side, feel free 
to do so. This will not prevent the integration. If you do so, please 
provide a short note what to download/install from the gtk project to be 
able to build. I do not expect a full integration info the maintainer/ 
scripts, I can do that as part of the validation before integration.

If you are confident that you cover all the GTK 1.2 based parts, feel 
free to remove the GTK 1.2 parts.

Please add a patch to the LAME patch tracker at sourceforge. The current 
way with a "git am" compatible diff is fine. For the autotools parts, do 
not include the generated files (Makefile.in, configure, ...).
