AGC sucks normally :( ..... You can do scaling wherever you like as long as it's after the =3D non-linear part (quantisation). I guess that using DRC on a lossless file, would =3D simply not make the decoded copy lossless :). Of course you could always chose =3D not to use the DRC and still keep it lossless.
