Since I was at a music festival last week, I'll send a full two week review now. :) Last-last-week: Over the weekend was Music Hack Day SF. Roman and I hacked on and presented CritiqueBrainz, complete with Spotify integration. You can now listen to the reviews on CB via Spotify! I've also got a userscript that I will hopefully release later this week that adds similar Spotify playback capabilities to the musicbrainz.org pages On monday, I met up with various folks, including Rhapsody just prior to the SF Music Tech Summit in SF to discuss how Rhapsody/Napster and MusicBrainz might work together to accomplish some of their goals. Nothing has been determined yet, but it was nice to meet in person and cover some follow up questions. On tuesday of that week was the SF Music Tech Summit where Tony Brooke (a big fan of MB) and I did a community conversation about metadata and MusicBrainz. Several people came up to me and asked: "What can we do to make MBIDs the industry standard?" It seems that the tech side of the industry and slowly the music side of the industry are warming up to us! On wednesday/thursday I went to SLO and took care of banking/non-profit and tax related matters. Friday - Monday I was a the Lightning in a Bottle music festival Last week: On tuesday of last week I met up with AXS, a concert company based in LA. They are considering using MusicBrainz for one of their internal projects and were really happy that I was in their neck of the woods to stop by and have meeting with them. I took wednesday off to celebrate my Mum's birthday and Thursday/Friday I traveled home. This quieter week was a nice balance to the very busy week the week prior.
