Call to a member function on a non object

Hello again,

a little more info:

I can see that the database got loaded succesfully. (by browsing it
directly or by looking at the main page in netjuke). The problem is that
if I click on any of the genre's links, I get:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/var/www/html/netjuke/search.php on line 305
If I click on an artist letter, I get a popup window that lists all
artists with that name, but when I click on them, I get the same error.
Now, if I instead click on the search button, I get a popup that looks
almost perfect, except next to where it says "Bit Rate", I get:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in
/var/www/html/netjuke/search-adv.php on line 178
I don't know PHP, but from what I can tell, it's getting an empty object
from the database queryin line 305:
 $rows = $dbrs->RecordCount();

and in line 178:
  $rows = $dbrs->RecordCount();

For some reason, it's only that call that is failing...

I'm running an unmodified Mandrake 9.0 install, and the PHP status under
netjuke says:
PHP Version 4.2.3
