Re: Xmms Playlist Track Display

As far as I know it, xmms needs to read the id3 info from the file to display 
that information. When playing a local (or remote mounted) file it can read 
it at load time, but for streams it would have to get the info from the files 
which makes it really really difficult. I have my mp3's setup so that the 
filenames show the pertinant information(artist-album-tracknum-trackname) and 
have xmms ignore id tags and display the filename.
