A good choice for this sort of solution is to use dnotify (http://freshmeat.net/projects/dnotify/?topic_id=862). Basically dnotify invokes an arbitrary program once a directory has been changed. You can use this along with the tips in the GLOBAL_LOGIN.txt file to setup an auto-import or auto-maintain scheme for your netjuke setup.
