Hello Shurbann, > I'm experiencing the same problem as some of you have: Error syncing > to mpeg (with Winamp). I think I found the cause of it: When I > enabled Content Preferences/Protect Media; Winamp can't play ANY > files. With the option disabled I play ALL my files without any > problem. A few days ago I wrote to the dev-mailinglist: I can't believe nobody else realized before that some songs are not playing when enabling PROTECT_MEDIA. Since it uses an encoded URL of the original file the URLs can become quite long and apparently at least Winamp (2.81) and Zinf (2.2.1) can't read M3U playlist with lines longer than about 256 chars. Unfortunately that is not enough when storing files in multiple subdirectories or using a long hostname, etc. I fixed this in CVS now by generating shorter URLs - the b18pre3 which will be out soon will hopefully work for everyone and every file. You say it can't play ANY files - I hope this is due to a pretty long file path, else we have to look for another bug.
