Re: Netjuke 1.0b18-pre3 Released!

"Albums By" still does not work correctly for me. Now it just says "Albums By 
(genre name)".

Some other ideas(I'll post these to the sourceforge Feature Requests forum 
too, I just though discussion could be had here if so deemed by people)...

1. I'd like to see the use of pop up windows eliminated. Is there any work 
being done on this already? Either as an option or permanently. I don't know 
what others feelings are on this, but I find them annoying and without 
advantage over just loading these pop-up pages in the main window.

2. Would it be possible to have an option that when an artist to whom more 
than one album exists in the database, that a list of albums is presented 
when choosing a search on that artist as opposed to listing all the tracks by 
that artist? I'd include that the albums should have a checkbox next to them 
with the option of displaying all tracks in the selected albums or clicking 
on a single album name causes that albums tracks to be presented.
Also, if they belong to any albums that are a "Various Artists" album, that 
the album is given a link there as well and not just the individual track. Of 
course, if a random single mp3 is in the database that does not belong to a 
complete album it can be shown on its own in the list.

3. Track listing column reordering. I'd like to see the ability to change the 
column order of display. I know different people have different preferences 
as to the order they want it to be displayed, allowing each user to change 
this option would be nice.

4. a simple messaging system. Allow users to send each other messages (like 
"Hey Blake, check this album/track/artist out!" with the ability to link a 
certain album/track/artist to the message) with a specific option for a user 
to put an administrative alert on a track/album with a note(like "hey! this 
track has pops" or "hey! this track is not complete").

uhm.. I think thats it.
pre3 is running fine so far for me. and netjuke is handling my mp3's fine...
