not streaming to players

Very odd this -
Rebuild NJ this morning from scratch (after pre-2) reset all options
back to what I like to use - and I'm getting no playback in ANY player -
mplayer (Mandy 9) WMP 9, Winamp or MM Jukebox (Xp Pro)...

Saving the m3u and then opening it works okay tho.
Also tested it with Win2k and WMP9 and Winamp same issues.

Any ideas at all?
