Solved: "call to a member function on a non-object"

Hello all.

I've been running Netjuke for a while on a machine with Mandrake Linux.
A few days ago I upgraded the computer to Gentoo Linux, and since then,
I got the "call to a member function on a non-object" fatal error with
Netjuke.

I checked the Netjuke mailing list archives and several pages worth of
Google hits, but I didn't find an answer.

Then, today, I tried to run another PHP program (PHPRecipebook) and it
gave me an error saying that it didn't have permission to open a file in
the /tmp directory. Sure enough, the /tmp directory was set so that only
root could write to it. I did a "chmod 1777 /tmp" and PHPRecipebook
worked fine. Just on a hunch, I tried Netjuke again, and it now works,
also.

I hope this helps anyone who might be having the same problem.
