Netjuke can currently only use mediafiles from _one_ directory. So the
only way to extend disc space is to link all your drives to one
directory by the means your operating system provides. I try to give a
few possible solutions, some of this has already been said earlier.

1. Linux:

Symlinks are one method. You have to make sure that your webserver
(e.g. apache) also follows symlinks since you want to access the files
for streaming purposes via http also.

Another method would be mounting. You could either mount the whole
harddisc directly into a directory in your netjuke-music-dir or use
bind-mounting to mount directories. The latter might be interesting if
you don't want to use a HD for mp3s only and works with all 2.4er
linux kernels afaik.

mount --bind /mnt/newharddisc/mp3s/ /netjukemusicdir/newhd/

.. would make the directory "mp3s" from your new HD, which is already
mounted in "/mnt/newharddisc", available in your netjuke-dir
"/netjukemusicdir"


2. Windows:

The .lnk shortcuts in windows will not work I think, since they are
only files used by some windows applications (explorer) but not
filesystem links which would be transparent for applications.

Windows XP (I'm not sure about earlier NT/NTFS versions) supports
mounting of NTFS drives into directories on other NTFS drives. This
might be the only possible solution on windows to extend your
netjuke disc space.


I don't know about mounting/linking on MacOS and other UNIXes but I
guess there are similar methods available.
