Trouble Changing Music Directory

I am new to netjuke. I have installed it and can import and play music 
just fine using the default var/music directory. When I change the 
config to another directory I am able to import the music data into the 
database OK, but am unable to play any music. Browsers open the 
QuickTime plugin, but nothing happens.

This is a Mac OS X install so be gentle since I'm still learning my way 
around the 'nix stuff.
