Yes, I've tried all that and don't see anything out of order.  Here's some 
info.  Maybe better minds will catch something.

No entries in error.log

Apache access.log entries for a few attempts using various user agents. 
Note that they report the full size of the MP3 and response code 200.

I can play it with any user agent when I access the file via the local 
mount point (mplayer /mnt/mp3/good.mp3) or using the symbolic link in the 
netjuke directory structure (mplayer var/music/good.mp3).  The problem only 
happens when trying to play the file via http.
