I haven't used 2.0 yet so I don't if there are any general problems.

Are you using virtual hosts? The problem with winamp (only 2.x afaik)
is, that it uses http 1.0 which causes the files being accessed on the
first virtual host in your configuration only. Just an idea cause this
was a problem I had and it's almost the only reason I can think of
since other clients are working - or maybe something like user agent
checks in the apache configuration.

I think these reports were referring to a problem caused by too long
playlist lines with PROTECT_MEDIA which is fixed now. Protect media
only obfuscates the links in the playlist apache is still directed to
the same files when streaming.
