Thanks for you help.  It turned out to be something entirely different: I'm=

=20

running netjuke on Debian GNU/Linux and it turned out to be a packaging=20

problem [1] in the Debian distribution.  The Debian packager has fixed the=

=20

problem but cannot yet upload the fixed version to the Debian servers [2].



I just installed the new package (from the packager's private web server) a=

nd=20

am now looking at a clean NetJuke install that actually works!  I'm very=20

impressed with it; looks like I finally found a competent web interface to =

my=20

music collection. :-)!

 2.  The Debian community has recently had a security breach and, although

     they detected it fairly quick, it has slowed them down somewhat because

     they have taken elaborate counter measures: shutting down all servers,

     inspect every single server, salvage the old installation before

     replacing it with a new installation, and bringing them back up.  Also,

     all Debian package maintainers had to renew their PGP keys and,

     apparently, the maintainer of netjuke has not yet gotten his key

     approved.
