I'm not sure if there's an add-on.

You might look at slimp3.  It maintains centrally managed play lists 
and streams the output to the player.  So you can connect from any 
client (browser), select the stream device (the computer running xmms) 
and view and modify its play list.

Netjuke has a better interface, though, but is lacking that remote 
control that slimp3 has.  But that remote control doesn't work well 
because the control of the player is really just controlling the stream 
fed to the player.  So, there's a big delay between actions on the 
interface and the player.  It can take 30 seconds before a "skip song" 
action actually happens on slimp3 streaming to xmms.

I want a mix of netjuke and slimp3.  I want the play lists managed 
on a central server and play lists passed to xmms (like Netjuke does 
now) but a separate control channel to the player from the server so 
that actions (like skip a song or pause) happen in real time, and I can 
monitor what the player is doing remotely.
