I can see a lot of threads here quickly degrading into "Oh yeah? But who the
hell are you?" "I'm the project leader, damnit, do what I say!" "You're
not the project leader, impostor! I am!" etc etc etc.

At least, if at all possible, the From line should contain our names
with the email address changed, not just the whole line replaced with
the email address.

Who the hell ARE you, anyway? :)
