Could they possibly work on the separate MDS-JB980? Seeing as it's not a portable, maybe it could. I don't have use an OS to try the code written by you guys, so is there any other way I could find out? It looks like they are "optional" commands, as there are also commands=20 to test if they're implemented on a particular unit (and Open MG seems to use=20 these check commands on startup). I don't know of any units that actually=20 implement these commands though ... But I've not tried them on anything newer than an=20 MZ-N1. I forget the deal with "start recording", I think Marcus figured out=20 that command, but not the commands to correctly set up the record parameters first, without which the unit won't actually do anything.
