Protocol Testing

I am keen to be helping with the testing of the commands for the
Protocol. However I have been meaning to install a UNIX based OS but at
this time I am unable to. I have lots of time on my hands at the moment
so I wish I could get on with it but can't.
 
Anyway, today I thought of this idea. What if someone could write a
Windows app that would allow the sending & receiving of commands to the
NetMD device as others are doing via there UNIX based OS. I would write
it myself but I have little experience of C and can't find anyone with
help on accessing USB ports.
 
This could even help to bridge the gap with the other on this list as we
could convert it to test the code in the CVS!!
 
Anyway thoughts welcome to my email so as not to annoy others here on
this list!!
