I am not sure.  Maybe, so if you can and try, that would be good.  Also
analyzing the log files under different situations, and maybe trying
different values (00/01/...), although I must say that I don't have any good
idea what's going on here.

Yup, that's interesting.  It might mean I just need to change that setting
and then can try out some things myself.  If you have fun playing with this,
please do, though.  Here is the command for Put Character Code:

I don't know what it does, it fails for me with any $c.
