Could it be that things like volume settings, EQ, Line Out vs Headphones
are stored in the EEPROM?  I don't recall these ever being reset if the
battery goes flat, but I could well be wrong.

Anyway, if they're in the EEPROM then I would guess the NetMD commands
that PatchWriter uses would be able to alter them......
