That means that I've got a preemptible kernel loaded. This means low latency. so i guess i'm alright, though it doesn't explain why fluidsynth and timidity crashes both on my machine from 2012 as well as my i7 with 16G and nvme ssd. hmmm ... anyway, i'm going to stick with yoshimi for now and may be try to investigate this issue later. @[email protected] thx for the detailed post on zynaddsubfx! however, i'm going to go with yoshimi for now though i'm still curious about the plugin possibilities, just so i can compare them in the future. -- In friendship, prad
