   First, I usually remove the build directory to be safe.  So from the 
main directory:

rm -rf build

   Then go through the usual process, but specify a debug build when you 
run cmake:

mkdir build
cd build
cmake .. -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug
make

   Now you've got a debug build.  It has the info we need for a useful 
backtrace.

   Next run rosegarden with gdb:

gdb ./rosegarden

   And when it crashes, do a "bt" to get a backtrace.  Post the results 
here and we'll see if it tells us anything useful.
