Yes!

You can add various types of 'text' to notes in the notation editor. 
This is done via the button with a 'T' - See this screenshot:

This is also activated via menus: Tools > Text or via a keyboard 
shortcut (F8 by default).

In your scenario you can just select Chord (which in turn selects a 
certain font and style, i.e. small bold roman font) and enter the Roman 
numeral. A useful feature is that this text can be copy pasted.
