   jack_capture automatically connects itself to everything that is 
connected to system out.  So long as you can hear it, jack_capture will 
record it.  No need for any manual connections.  That's been my experience.

   Of course, if you use something other than system out for monitoring, 
then all bets are off and manual connections will be needed.
