First I would define the goals, then the design. I find it charming to
have the goal defined, that a SF variant may run on an
embedded/handheld. To acheive this, it may be neccesary to define the
handshake between peers for accomodating the reduced feature set on the
embedded SF deploy. Also a well defined interface between the GUI and
the engine might help implementing different user interfaces (not
neccesarily graphical ones).
