Speakup is a Linux screen reader for the blind which patches into the
kernel directly.  To allow users of this application to talk to each other
and ask questions, the author set up a Speak Freely reflector.  The thing
that is important is that he also modified an older version of Speak
Freely so that it blends audio instead of chopping it up.  It works quite
well, at least with the reflector.  It does seem to add a little noise to
the audio, but it's worth a look.  The web page gives directions for
getting the program from CVS.
