Sound device problem, apparfently

Gentlemen,

I have been using speak freely for a couple of years and have for the frist
time received this message prompt.  The effect is that while the person on
the overseas machine can hear me, I cannothear them.  i.e. there is no
incoming data stream.

The Speak Freely message prompt reads as follows " Can't write to sound device.  MMSYSTEM034 The wave header was not prepared.  Use the Prepare Function to prepare the header and then try again"

Can someone tell me what I might have done wrong?
