Yes, Speak Freely has always worked fine for me too.

I noticed in the original post and response of this thread that what was asked
for was an echo server, but what was provided was "http://lwl.b2b-phone.com/"
- which is a "Look Who's Listening" server, not necessarily an echo server.
For an echo server, try "http://echo.fourmilab.ch/" or
"http://echo.fourmilab.to/". However, in case you haven't been following this
forum for the last several months, these two servers will cease to exist on
January 15, 2004 as Speak Freely's author is discontinuing support for the
product (including these servers and this forum/mailing list) effective on
that date. "http://lwl.b2b-phone.com/" on the other hand, is a new replacement
"Look Who's Listening" server. Whether or not it provides - or will provide -
echo service, I don't know.

I agree that it is in poor taste to use a particular product's forum to
promote a different product - even if the products in question are free.

: All I know is that it works, and

: Ummm, sounds like a "USER
: Malfunction" to me SpeakFree has always
: worked just fine for me.

: Please refrain from sending advertisements for
: P2P Kazaa hogwash in the future.
