Server is not a shoutcast stream

Greetings list!

I just downloaded and installed Streamripper 1.64.6

I go to shoutcast.com, I search, I find, I click on the download link 
and it downloads a file.  I open the file and it plays in VLC.

I take that same URL that opens in VLC and I feed it to streamripper.  
It says "error -10 [SR_ERROR_NO_RESPONSE_HEADER: Server is not a 
shoutcast stream]"

What gives?  How can I get it to work?
