(it's not only a general bad idea to present critical status information with color alone, but white/yellow/lime green is particularly unattractive. at least it's not red/green.) - interpreter on/off status indicated with a light, not text. - server status also indicated with a light. a little animation should be displayed if the server is booting. - OSC in / OSC out lights for the interpreter. - panic button as a clickable GUI element. - volume slider embedded. - volume monitors for input and output embedded.
