hi all, this is something of a formality -- i just wanted to let everyone know that from now on i will not be using this mailing list, except to post announcements for dev calls, releases, and RFCs as i have been. there are a few reasons why i'm doing this. mainly, it's because i have replaced it in my development workflow with GitHub and Slack, and to a lesser extent, scsynth.org. more people who are involved in active development participate in those spaces, and responses are often quicker and more productive. in addition, their interfaces are much better suited for collaborating on code. i simply can't keep up with so many SuperCollider channels, and this one is the least trafficked. now don't get me wrong, having so many places to discuss SuperCollider is great, and i don't mind if others continue to use it to discuss development. but, i wonder sometimes if this mailing list still serves its intended purpose, or if it rather makes collaboration more difficult now. anyway, i'm happy to continue to work on SC with everyone, and looking forward to the development call tomorrow! regards, Brian
