SC 3.11 from git

hi all,

tl;dr if i build develop branch from git i'm on 3.11?


coming from 3.9 branch trying to install 3.11 from git but got confused
about determining the version.

i've tried master and develop, master claims 3.10 on startup and develop
is silent about it, git grep in develop has two hits on 3.11

want to make sure, thanks for pointers
