SimpleMIDIFile - fromPattern + cc / long inserted durations?

Hello!

I wonder if anyone has adapted the .fromPattern method on the great
SimpleMIDIFile to include cc messages?

Or if anyone has encountered this issue: when writing a SimpleMIDIFile to
disk, my cc events add long durations in the result that aren't reflected
in the absolute timestamps in the midiEvents array. Here's a picture of
what I mean:
