NetAddr TCP/IP

Dear all, I'm currently working on an Android based OSC controller for which I'm also implementing OSC over TCP/IP. Now I'd like to test this with SuperCollider (receiving and sending OSC). However documentation on how to use NetAddr with TCP/IP is a bit sparse. It only mentions 'connect', 'disconnect', 'tryConnectTCP' resp. 'tryDisconnectTCP' but doesn't provide much information on the underlying mechanism. Can anyone provide an example on how to implement a NetAddr using TCP/IP? I'm sorry if this is a bit of a dumb question. Thanks very much!
