Re: Future of the lists

thank you so much Scott for your work in keeping this place running.
i've been subscribed to and following this list since 2001 (when JMC hosted it, then UCSB).  nearly 149000 read emails in my [sc-users] mailbox.  it's a goldmine created by all the fantastic people here.

i'm against moving discussions over to an unknown forum and to github (microsoft) and i'm surprised not more are.  we're giving up something very rare and precious here... longevity, community and known, responsible ownership.  and for what... shiny colourful icons?

well, as "resistance is futile" i guess i'll follow suit.  but i'll only subscribe to the new forum in great disharmony, groaning...
