Hmm. debian unstable upgraded a couple of days ago to libc-2.3.2 
and zinf is running fine for me.

The "WatchThisDirTimeout" at 0 disables the update of the 
musiccatalog for downloaded music.  Since the download 
function is deprecated and will probably be removed at some
later date, you might as well disable it now.

More interestingly, what happens when you manually
update the musiccatalog "File->Search compuiter for music"
Does this also segfault?  If so then there seems to
a problem in musiccatalog.

Could you attach the output of the compilation?  I would like
to see the options you end up compiling with.
