cvs issues and my branch

My patch is too big for the list. Anyone who wants to try it out just 
email me at [email protected]  Otherwise i'll be back working on the 
cvs head later on this week or so.   I've tested my branch on my 
computers and it seems to be running sweet.

the cvs head however doesn't like my computer. It flips out.

I use the alsa pmo btw, in case the cvs head patches aren't being tested 
with this pmo active.

I cant get the cvs head to work.  If i track forward even once it 
crashes. This is whith or without the delete/free patches, although it's 
a different reason for the crash.  I have a dozen zinf directories right 
now so I need to clean things up before i can try helping at determining 
where things fall apart for the cvs head.


A major thing to look out for.  We have some classes that are inherited 
and we have locks in these classes. But we also have locks in the 
classes that are derived from them.  This essentially puts two locks in 
the same object which is not what we want in that case.



On a side-note. I finally fixed all of the deadlock problems dealing 
with fast-forward etc.  Vorbis basically doesn't fast-track anymore. You 
can click really fast over vorbis files, but it will move forward at 1 
file per second which seems to be the magic number for our callback 
method of decoding vorbis files.  It's much better than error messages 
or deadlocks though.  I'm including a patch to my personal branch 
against the cvs head.  It doesn't include the rollbacks. i'm doing this 
because i'm going to be focussing a lot of school this week and i may 
not have much time to try patching the cvs head with my changes.



A few of the rollback patches should be able to be merged into this tree 
without too much of a problem.  But mostly it would be nice to see if 
other people can run this tree at all as it is.


Remember when switching to the cvs head as it is from prior cvs head's 
you need to start with a new preference file. The pref changes have 
changed things.


Try this out against a vanilla cvs head.  With this you dont need any of 
the patches posted.
