It appears that misc.cpp uses CalculateSongLength which is the root of 
all evil.  This basically pretends that time is metadata and sets the 
"metadata" for the file to what the time length returned by this 
function is.

I envision a future where CalculateSongLength is a method which scans 
the entire file and actually calculates the correct and accurate time 
length if you have the option set to allow it to do so. but until that 
is coded to work with the pipeline, CalculateSongLength will return a 1, 
this change of course probably wont be around until after i'm done the 
vorbis plugin work.


So in the meantime, beware of parts of the player that use these 
methods.  They wont be around in their current functionality for much 
longer.
