*Please* turn off MIME messages. At least when sending messages to
email lists (which cut out the coding and just shows up as garbage).
Few clients support MIME anyway...

I'm not sure on that status at the moment on the developer end (maybe I
should join the other list?). Pretty much, there was much arguing and
complaining but it seems it was decided to cut windows support. There
is about 3 developers, doing the project. They all primarily do linux
and one of them knew enough about windows to add support on the side.
They were planning/working on doing some major cleanup/reworking of the
code but it would be a major pain in the butt to keep the windows code
working. If there was more developers/coders in the project, then it
probably would have been fine.

Many users complained that killing the windows version would leave them
in the dark. Well, mainly because (at the time - a couple weeks ago),
Zinf was the *only* way to get/play music from emusic.com. Originally,
Zinf was "freeamp" and was funded by emusic. Now emusic has dropped
funding for "freeamp" (and other legal worries) brought around the
changing of the name to zinf. Now there is emusic download "manager"
so you don't need zinf anymore. There is also the "real jukebox".

I'm not sure what is happening now.
Either everyone got angry and left the project or the coders are hard
at work doing the overhaul and can not be bothered.

This is the best I could figure out over my time here on the list.

Thanks,
Ian Sidle
