Hi, I have been trying to build Zinf 2.2.1 on SuSE 8.1 for quite a while, and haven't gotten very far. It worked fine on 8.0, but on 8.1 I get the infamous: checking for GTK+ version >= 1.2.5... no WARNING: GTK+ was not found on this system. This means you won't be able to use any of the graphical user interfaces. That's a bad thing, so go get the latest version of GTK+ from http://www.gtk.org Even though GTK 1.2.10 is installed: gtk-config --version 1.2.10 I was wondering if Matt could give a little more detail as to what he needed to do to resolve this. Thanks! -Nick ---- Just got Zinf installed finally.... 2002-11-02 08:41 Installed finally on SuSE 8.1, one thing you have to watch for is the config file status. Unlike many other programs it will continue on despite some failures (gdk-config being one of them). Also SuSE 8.1 comes with musicbrainz, had more luck with that one than the one from source. Only problem is emusic album downloads, doesn't like me :). Tried changing the extension to .rmp and tried to open it in Zinf, but it said it was a corrupted file and so skipped it. Any other thoughts on getting the download manager to work?
